  1. An owl is any BIRD of the order Strigiformes, 
  2. found worldwide. They are mainly nocturnal 
  3. birds of prey, with mobile heads, soundless 
  4. flight, acute hearing, and forward-facing 
  5. immobile eyes, surrounded by `facial discs' 
  6. of rayed feathers. All species lay white 
  7. eggs, and begin incubation as soon as the 
  8. first is laid. They regurgitate indigestible 
  9. remains of their prey in pellets (castings).
